Safety Officer Jobs in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and fertilizer industries continue to generate high demand for certified safety professionals, especially during shutdown and maintenance operations. Industrial facilities such as Saudi Arabian Fertilizer Company (SAFCO) require strict safety supervision to ensure compliance, risk control, and accident prevention during high-intensity shutdown activities.
A new urgent requirement has been announced for SAFCO-approved Safety Officers for a shutdown project. This opportunity is suitable for experienced safety professionals who hold valid ID approval and have strong industrial site experience.
Job Role Overview & Importance
A Safety Officer plays a critical role in ensuring safe working conditions during shutdown operations, where industrial activities are more intensive and risk levels are higher than normal operations. In petrochemical environments, strict adherence to safety procedures is mandatory to protect workers, equipment, and plant integrity.
SAFCO-approved Safety Officers are responsible for implementing safety regulations, monitoring site activities, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. Their role is essential in preventing accidents and maintaining operational control during shutdown execution.

They will monitor high-risk activities, ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and enforce safety compliance across the shutdown site.
Additional responsibilities include conducting toolbox talks, preparing safety reports, investigating incidents, and coordinating with supervisors and project management teams. They must ensure that all shutdown activities are carried out in a controlled and safe manner.
Safety Officers will also support emergency response procedures and ensure all documentation is properly maintained throughout the project duration.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants must be SAFCO approved and ID holders with proven experience in industrial safety roles, especially in shutdown or petrochemical environments. Strong knowledge of risk assessment, hazard control, and safety regulations is required.
Candidates must possess valid Saudi documents including Iqama, passport copy, visa copy, medical fitness certificate, insurance, and CR documentation. All documents must be provided in color copies during office submission.
