Safety Officer (ASMACS)

A reputable manpower and contracting company is urgently hiring experienced Safety Officers for a long-term industrial assignment at a major port project. Job Description

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with occupational health and safety standards across the project site. The role includes monitoring workplace activities, identifying hazards, conducting inspections, and implementing safety procedures. The position plays a key role in maintaining a safe working environment and preventing accidents during project operations.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will conduct daily site safety inspections, enforce safety regulations, and ensure that all workers follow approved procedures. Responsibilities include preparing safety reports, conducting toolbox talks, investigating incidents, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The Safety Officer will also coordinate with management and site teams to maintain safety compliance at all times.

Skills and Knowledge

Applicants must have NEBOSH IGC certification and at least 5 years of relevant safety experience. Saudi Aramco approval is preferred if available. Candidates should also have First Aid and BLS certification. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures is essential. Good communication skills and leadership abilities are required for this role.
