Job Role Overview & Importance
Scaffolders play a vital role in offshore construction and maintenance projects by assembling, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding structures used for safe access to elevated work areas. In offshore environments, properly installed scaffolding is critical for ensuring worker safety and supporting efficient project execution.
These professionals contribute directly to workplace safety by ensuring that scaffold systems comply with industrial standards and project requirements. Their expertise helps reduce risks associated with working at heights while enabling maintenance, inspection, and construction activities to proceed safely and effectively.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffold structures according to approved project specifications and safety regulations. Daily tasks may include inspecting scaffold components, securing platforms, installing guardrails, and ensuring structural stability before use.
Scaffolders will also assist supervisors in maintaining safe access systems throughout the project duration. They must follow offshore safety procedures, use personal protective equipment correctly, and cooperate with safety personnel to ensure compliance with Aramco and project safety standards.
The role requires physical fitness, attention to detail, and the ability to work in challenging offshore environments while maintaining high safety awareness.
Skills, Experience & Eligibility
Applicants should have previous scaffolding experience in industrial, construction, oil & gas, or offshore projects. A valid TUV card is mandatory, along with an Aramco vendor code. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of scaffold assembly procedures and safety regulations.
Applicants must also provide valid Saudi work documents, including Iqama, Muqeem, passport copy, and medical fitness report. Experience working in offshore projects will be considered a significant advantage during the selection process.
