WPR, Safety Officer
Work Permit Receivers (WPRs) are among the most important professionals on ARAMCO projects, ensuring that all work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with the permit-to-work system. They coordinate between the issuing authority and the work crew, verify that all safety requirements have been met before work begins, and help maintain compliance with ARAMCO safety regulations. Alongside WPRs, ARAMCO-approved Safety Officers play a vital role in protecting personnel, equipment, and project operations by enforcing workplace safety standards and preventing accidents. Square Arabia Co. is currently recruiting experienced ARAMCO Approved WPRs and Safety Officers for a long-term project in Saudi Arabia. Candidates with Amiral Site experience and all required documentation are encouraged to apply immediately.
Primary Responsibilities
A Work Permit Receiver is responsible for obtaining work permits, reviewing permit conditions, coordinating with permit issuers, and ensuring all work activities comply with ARAMCO safety procedures before work commences. The role includes monitoring ongoing work, communicating permit requirements to the workforce, maintaining permit documentation, and reporting unsafe conditions to supervisors. An ARAMCO-approved Safety Officer is responsible for conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), organizing toolbox talks, investigating incidents, and monitoring compliance with project safety standards. Both positions require close coordination with project management, supervisors, and workers to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment throughout the project duration.
Professional Skills and Knowledge
Applicants should possess valid ARAMCO approval for their respective positions along with practical experience on industrial or oil & gas projects. Previous Amiral Site experience is mandatory for both categories. Candidates should have a strong understanding of ARAMCO permit-to-work systems, occupational health and safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures. Excellent communication, teamwork, leadership, and documentation skills are essential. Applicants should also be capable of maintaining accurate records, coordinating with multiple departments, and working efficiently under project schedules while ensuring strict compliance with safety standards.
