Primary Duties and Responsibilities

They verify that safety precautions are in place before work begins, ensure firefighting equipment is available and functional, observe work operations for potential hazards, and communicate with supervisors and work crews throughout the shift. They also report unsafe conditions immediately, support emergency response procedures when necessary, maintain accurate safety records, and ensure compliance with project safety requirements. Maintaining constant vigilance and promoting a safe working environment are key responsibilities of both roles.
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Applicants should have proven experience working as a Standby Man or Fire Watch on industrial or oil and gas projects.
