Safety Officer, Work Permit Receiver (Non-Aramco)
Work Permit Receivers (WPR) are essential safety and coordination professionals in oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial construction projects. Their primary responsibility is to ensure that all site activities are carried out under valid permits and in compliance with safety regulations. In high-risk operational environments such as Abqaiq projects, WPR professionals play a crucial role in controlling work authorization, minimizing hazards, and ensuring smooth execution of field activities. AQUATECH GCC is currently seeking qualified Non-Aramco WPR candidates holding valid third-party certification for an urgent short-term project.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
The Work Permit Receiver will be responsible for receiving, verifying, and managing work permits before any task begins on-site. Duties include coordinating with supervisors, safety officers, and project engineers to ensure all safety conditions are met prior to work execution. The WPR must confirm that all hazards are identified and controlled, and that workers fully understand permit conditions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining permit records, ensuring compliance with site safety procedures, and stopping work immediately if unsafe conditions are observed.
Required Skills and Professional Knowledge
Applicants must have valid third-party WPR certification and prior experience in industrial or oil & gas project environments. Strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems, safety regulations, and risk assessment procedures is required.
