Safety Officer, Fire Watch & Work Permit Receiver
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Safety Officers are responsible for implementing workplace safety policies, conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Fire Watch personnel monitor hot work activities, remain alert for potential fire hazards, inspect firefighting equipment, and respond quickly to emergencies. Work Permit Receivers (WPR) manage work permit documentation, coordinate with supervisors, verify permit compliance, and ensure that all activities are performed according to approved safety procedures. Every role is essential in maintaining a safe, organized, and productive worksite.
Skills & Experience Requirements
Applicants should have relevant industry experience and a strong understanding of industrial safety standards and site procedures. Candidates applying for all positions must possess a valid SASREF ID with Authorization, as this is a mandatory requirement. A valid Chamber Registration is also required before mobilization. Strong communication skills, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure are important qualities for successful candidates. Individuals who are committed to maintaining safety and professionalism will be given preference during the recruitment process.
