Safety Officer (As per project requirement)
A Safety Officer is a vital professional responsible for maintaining workplace safety and ensuring that all project activities comply with Aramco health, safety, and environmental standards. This role is essential in large-scale industrial and oil & gas projects where strict safety regulations must be followed to protect workers, equipment, and facilities. For this long-term project near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the selected candidate will play a key role in preventing workplace incidents, promoting safety awareness, and supporting smooth project execution through effective safety management practices.
Key Responsibilities and Job Duties
The selected Safety Officer will be responsible for conducting regular site inspections to identify and eliminate potential hazards before work begins. Daily responsibilities include monitoring work activities, ensuring compliance with Aramco safety regulations, and verifying the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). The officer will also conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs to educate workers about safe working practices.
Additional duties include preparing safety reports, investigating incidents, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with project supervisors to implement corrective actions whenever necessary. The Safety Officer must ensure that all operations are performed according to approved procedures and that the highest standards of occupational safety are maintained throughout the project.
Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of Aramco project experience and possess a valid Aramco Safety Officer approval. A valid NEBOSH certification is mandatory for this position. Candidates should have a strong understanding of industrial safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response procedures.
Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work effectively in demanding project environments.
