Professional Role Overview

The Quality Control (QC) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all project activities comply with approved quality standards, specifications, and inspection requirements. The role involves monitoring construction and fabrication activities, conducting inspections, reviewing quality documentation, and ensuring adherence to project quality plans and industry standards.

Primary Duties and Work Responsibilities

QC Engineers are responsible for preparing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), conducting quality inspections, monitoring construction activities, and ensuring compliance with project specifications. They coordinate with clients, contractors, and inspection teams, maintain quality records, prepare reports, and resolve quality-related issues. The position requires thorough knowledge of international quality standards and industrial inspection procedures.

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. A minimum of 8 years of QC experience in oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, or industrial projects is required. Candidates should hold valid QC certifications such as CSWIP, AWS CWI, PCN, or equivalent. Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, inspection methodologies, quality documentation, and industry standards is essential. Previous Aramco or GCC project experience will be considered an advantage.
