A Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer plays a vital role in maintaining workplace safety, preventing hazards, and ensuring compliance with international safety standards. In offshore projects, HSE professionals are responsible for implementing safety procedures, monitoring operations, and promoting a strong safety culture among workers.
SAT SAT United General Contracting Establishment is seeking experienced and offshore-approved HSE Officers for a rental basis assignment. This opportunity is suitable for qualified safety professionals who have strong offshore experience and the ability to manage safety requirements in challenging industrial environments.
The selected candidates will support offshore operations by ensuring that all activities are performed according to approved HSE standards, procedures, and offshore safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities
The HSE Officer will be responsible for monitoring daily offshore activities, identifying potential hazards, and ensuring that all employees follow approved safety procedures. The role includes conducting safety inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and reporting unsafe conditions to management.
The candidate will assist in implementing HSE policies, maintaining safety documentation, investigating incidents, and supporting emergency response procedures. The officer must work closely with project teams, supervisors, and workers to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
Ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), monitoring permit-to-work systems, and promoting safety awareness among offshore personnel will also be key responsibilities.
Required Skills and Professional Knowledge
Applicants must have a minimum of 05 years of verifiable offshore project experience with strong knowledge of HSE standards, procedures, and offshore safety regulations.
Candidates must hold valid OPITO approval, H2S certification, and OGUK Medical. Experience working in offshore oil and gas projects is mandatory, and only offshore-approved and experienced candidates will be considered.
The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage safety issues effectively, and a strong understanding of international offshore safety practices.
