Primary Duties and Responsibilities
A Safety Officer is responsible for conducting routine site inspections, identifying workplace hazards, and ensuring compliance with company and project safety regulations. Daily responsibilities include monitoring work permits, enforcing the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), conducting toolbox talks, investigating incidents, preparing safety reports, and coordinating emergency response activities. The role also involves working closely with supervisors and project management to implement corrective actions, improve safety performance, and ensure all construction activities are carried out in accordance with applicable HSE standards.
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of verified industrial safety experience supported by an official company experience certificate. Candidates must hold a NEBOSH certification along with a Diploma or Degree in a relevant field. A valid Vendor Code is mandatory as specified by the employer. Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, safety regulations, incident investigation, and emergency response procedures is essential. Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are also required. Indian candidates are preferred by the client, although selection remains subject to the employer’s recruitment requirements.
