Professional Roles Supporting Safe Project Execution

Each position has an important function within an industrial work environment. Rigger Level 1 personnel support lifting operations, while Safety Officers help monitor workplace hazards and promote compliance with established safety procedures. Work Permit Receivers are responsible for working within the permit-to-work system, ensuring that authorized activities follow the conditions stated on approved permits. Fire Watch personnel provide dedicated monitoring during activities where fire risks may be present. Having properly approved workers in these roles helps project teams maintain safe and controlled operations.

Duties and Responsibilities at the Worksite

A Rigger Level 1 may prepare and secure loads, inspect lifting accessories, guide suspended materials, and coordinate with crane operators and lifting supervisors. Safety Officers may conduct site inspections, identify unsafe conditions, support toolbox meetings, monitor PPE compliance, and follow up on corrective actions.

WPR personnel may receive work permits, communicate permit conditions to work crews, and monitor activities to ensure they remain within the approved scope. Fire Watch workers are generally assigned to observe designated work areas, particularly during hot work, remain alert to potential ignition sources, and report unsafe conditions immediately. All personnel are expected to follow site instructions, maintain good housekeeping, and comply with applicable safety procedures.

Experience, Approval and Eligibility

Applicants should have relevant experience in their chosen position and possess the required Aramco approval or certification. The advertisement specifically states that candidates must be Aramco approved and should have an Aramco Vendor Code or Ajeer. Fire Watch applicants must have the required Aramco certification.
