Job Description
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental standards across project activities. The role includes monitoring site operations, identifying hazards, implementing safety procedures, and ensuring that all tasks are performed according to approved safety guidelines. Safety Officers play a key role in preventing accidents, maintaining safe working conditions, and ensuring full compliance with client and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will conduct site inspections, monitor ongoing work activities, and ensure compliance with SAFCO safety regulations. Responsibilities include preparing safety reports, conducting toolbox talks, verifying permit-to-work systems, and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment. Safety Officers will also be responsible for investigating incidents, reporting unsafe conditions, and coordinating with project management to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
Skills and Knowledge
