Work Permit Receiver, Fire Watch, Standby Man & Helper
Job Purpose and Responsibilities
The Work Permit Receiver will be responsible for handling and verifying work permits before starting any site activity, ensuring all safety approvals and conditions are met according to project requirements. Fire Watch personnel will monitor hot work activities such as welding and cutting to prevent fire risks and ensure emergency readiness at all times. Standby Man workers will remain on standby during high-risk operations, providing immediate support in case of any unsafe situation or emergency. General Helpers will assist skilled workers with material handling, site preparation, cleaning duties, and other general support tasks required for smooth workflow. All workers must strictly follow safety instructions and maintain discipline throughout project operations.
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
Candidates applying for the Work Permit Receiver position should have prior experience in industrial or oil & gas projects, along with strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems and safety procedures. Fire Watch applicants must be alert, responsible, and familiar with hazard monitoring and emergency response duties. Standby Man candidates should understand basic safety practices and be ready to respond quickly in critical situations. Helpers must be physically fit and capable of performing manual labor efficiently in demanding site conditions. Gulf experience will be considered an advantage for all positions.
