Safety and Work Permit – Long-Term
Work Permit Receiver (WPR) and Safety Officer are critical roles on Aramco industrial and oil & gas projects. An Aramco-approved Work Permit Receiver (WPR) ensures that all work activities are properly authorized, hazards are identified, and work permits are issued in accordance with Aramco safety procedures before any task begins. An Aramco-approved Safety Officer is responsible for implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, minimizing workplace risks, and ensuring compliance with Aramco regulations. Square Arabia Co. is urgently recruiting qualified candidates for a long-term project in Saudi Arabia. Preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked on Marjan Package #12.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Work Permit Receiver (WPR) is responsible for reviewing work requests, obtaining and managing work permits, verifying that all safety precautions are implemented before work begins, coordinating with supervisors, and ensuring compliance with Aramco permit-to-work procedures. The Safety Officer conducts regular site inspections, identifies workplace hazards, enforces the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), investigates incidents, delivers safety briefings, prepares HSE reports, and works closely with project management to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Both positions require strong communication, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards throughout the project.
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Applicants must hold valid Aramco approval for the position they are applying for and have relevant experience on industrial or oil and gas projects. Candidates who have previously worked on Marjan Package #12 will be preferred by the employer. Applicants should possess strong knowledge of Aramco safety procedures, permit-to-work systems, hazard identification, risk assessment, and emergency response practices. Valid employment documents, Business GOSI, Chamber registration, and Vendor Code are mandatory. Strong teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are also essential.
