Job Description
Safety Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by implementing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on construction and industrial projects. They identify workplace hazards, conduct inspections, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and promote a strong safety culture to minimise accidents and occupational risks.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidates will carry out routine site safety inspections, identify hazards and recommend corrective actions, conduct risk assessments, monitor the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), deliver toolbox talks, maintain HSE documentation, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable safety standards.
Skills and Professional Qualifications
Applicants must possess a valid NEBOSH certification and have relevant experience as a Safety Officer on construction or industrial projects. Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, hazard identification, incident reporting, and emergency response procedures is required. Candidates should also have strong communication and reporting skills and be capable of working effectively in a team environment.
