Primary Responsibilities and Daily Duties

The Fire Watch is responsible for monitoring hot work operations before, during, and after completion to ensure that no fire hazards develop. Daily responsibilities include inspecting work areas, identifying combustible materials, ensuring fire extinguishers are available and ready for use, maintaining continuous surveillance during hot work, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and assisting the safety team during emergencies. Fire Watch personnel must strictly follow HSE regulations, communicate effectively with supervisors and workers, and maintain accurate safety records throughout the shutdown project.

Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of industrial experience, preferably in shutdown, oil & gas, petrochemical, or construction projects. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of fire prevention procedures, emergency response protocols, and workplace safety regulations. Good communication skills, attention to detail, physical fitness, and the ability to remain alert throughout the work shift are essential.
