Manlift Operator Duties & Responsibilities
The Manlift Operator will be responsible for safely operating access equipment to lift workers and materials to elevated work areas. The operator must carry out pre-use equipment checks, confirm that the machine is suitable for the assigned task, and operate it according to manufacturer instructions and site safety procedures. Duties may include positioning the manlift correctly, maintaining safe working distances, monitoring ground and overhead conditions, and communicating with workers and supervisors during operations. The operator must also report equipment defects or unsafe conditions immediately and ensure that the machine is used within its approved operating limits. Safe operation, careful maneuvering, and awareness of surrounding workers and equipment are essential for this role.
Skills, Certification & Required Documents
Applicants should have practical experience operating manlift or access equipment in industrial or construction environments. A valid IPAL Card is specifically required for this vacancy. Candidates should also have the ability to follow site safety procedures, perform basic equipment checks, communicate effectively with supervisors, and work responsibly at height.
