Fire Watcher, Manlift Operator, Pipe Fitter
Fire Watcher roles are highly important in ARAMCO industrial and construction projects in Saudi Arabia, especially in high-risk operational areas like Juaymah. Companies such as Ghamsha Al Khair General Contracting Est. rely on trained Fire Watchers to ensure continuous monitoring of hot work activities such as welding, cutting, and grinding. Their main responsibility is to prevent fire hazards and ensure that all safety procedures are strictly followed on-site. In large oil & gas environments, Fire Watchers act as the first line of defense against fire-related incidents, protecting workers, equipment, and facilities. This role is essential for maintaining ARAMCO safety standards and ensuring uninterrupted project execution in hazardous environments.
Key Responsibilities and Work Duties
A Fire Watcher is responsible for monitoring all hot work activities and ensuring that fire safety protocols are strictly followed at all times. Daily duties include inspecting the work area before, during, and after hot work operations to identify any fire risks. Fire Watchers must ensure that fire extinguishers and safety equipment are available and functional at the site. They are also responsible for alerting workers and supervisors in case of any fire hazard or unsafe condition. In ARAMCO projects, Fire Watchers must maintain constant vigilance, follow safety instructions, and report incidents immediately. They also ensure that no unauthorized hot work is performed without proper safety clearance. Maintaining alertness and quick response capability is critical for this role.
Skills, Qualifications, and Professional Requirements
Candidates applying for Fire Watcher positions must have ARAMCO-approved certification and valid safety training credentials. Applicants should have knowledge of fire prevention techniques, emergency response procedures, and industrial safety standards. Strong observation skills and the ability to remain alert for long working hours are essential. Experience in oil & gas or construction projects is highly preferred. Manlift operators must also hold valid ARAMCO-approved operating licenses and have experience handling elevated work platforms safely. Pipe fitters and structural fabricators should have strong technical skills in piping systems, fabrication techniques, and industrial installation work. Prior experience in major projects such as Berri AAP or KGP will be considered an added advantage.
