Primary Duties and Work Responsibilities
The Safety Officer is responsible for conducting routine workplace inspections, identifying potential hazards, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring compliance with all HSE regulations. Daily responsibilities include organizing toolbox talks, monitoring the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), preparing risk assessments, investigating workplace incidents, maintaining safety documentation, and conducting regular safety audits. The Safety Officer also works closely with supervisors, engineers, and project management to ensure all work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures and industry standards.
Required Skills, Experience, and Professional Knowledge
Applicants must have a minimum of five years of HSE experience supported by an official Service Certificate and Experience Letter. Candidates should hold either a Diploma or Engineering Degree relevant to the position. A valid NEBOSH Certificate with Email Confirmation is mandatory. Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency response procedures, and incident investigation is essential.
